Turkish Broadcaster Relies on Ensemble Equipment at the 2012 Summer Games

Grass Valley, California, 24 August, 2012 – Turkish Radio and Television (TRT) made use of an extensive compliment of Ensemble terminal equipment to support its coverage of the 2012 Summer Games. TRT used a total of nine Avenue frames and scores of Avenue modules in their on-site HD broadcast facility in London.

The Avenue equipment was used to integrate local sources as well as incoming and outgoing feeds with the facility’s core router. In addition to a large number of distribution amplifiers and conversion modules, the system included four 7555 Video Processing Frame Synchronizer modules, each of which was equipped with the 9615 audio software option. The 7555 modules were used to synchronize and process incoming video feeds as well as to process, shuffle, and mix the embedded audio on those feeds.

“We didn’t get a single phone call or email requesting support during the games,” said Mondae Hott, Director of Sales at Ensemble Designs. “All of the Ensemble equipment worked flawlessly and TRT was able to use the gear easily and effortlessly.”

TRT purchased the equipment from Idea Pro, Ensemble’s Turkish distributor. “We love working with the people at Ensemble because we can always count on them,” said Ihsan Atak of Idea Pro. “They support the customer every time.”

Mr. Atak said that TRT’s decision to buy the Ensemble products was based on technical specifications, cost-effectiveness, and the high level of pre and post sale support provided by Idea Pro and Ensemble Designs.
