Ensemble kit takes Telenorba HD

Italian broadcaster Telenorba is investing in Ensemble Designs’ Avenue signal processing equipment to help it migrate to HD. The deal includes upconverters, sync-pulse generators, audio embedders, and bypass protection switches.

“The audio mixers and the control they provide for channel adjustments is crucial for our on-air work,” explained Dino D’Alessandro, director of engineering at Telenorba.
Ensemble Designs’ BrightEye 90FA systems will be installed in Telenorba’s ENG trucks, providing both fibre and electrical outputs.

“The flexible control system is also important to us,” added Danza Gusippi, chief of the low frequency department at Telenorba. “We also like the five-year warranty – reliable technical support is so important.” Telenorba is adding a Utah routing and master control system with 20 master control channels. Harmonic encoders are also to be installed in the product centre and satellite uplink facility. The deal was handled by systems designer and integrator CVE.
